Dr Susan Alexander joined St Cyril's College, Adoor in March 2009. She completed her graduation and post graduation from Fatima Mata National College, Kollam winning the Ist Rank for BA English Language and Literature and IInd rank for MA English Language and Literature from the University of Kerala, Thiruvanathapuram. She did her research at the Institute of English, University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram and was awarded PhD for her work on Environment and Literature. She has co-edited 4 books - Transculturation in Contemporary British and American Poetry, Shifting Paradigms in Cotemporary Poetry, Effective Business Communication and Global Voices and Cultures
Dr. Nisha Mathew

Dr Nisha Mathew, joined St Cyril’s College, Adoor on 7 th July 2010. She completed her MA in English
Language and Literature from Fatima Mata National college, Kollam in 2008 and qualified JRF the
same year. She took B.Ed from Karmela Rani Training College, Kollam. Her PhD was under the
guidance of Dr P Radhika, Former HoD and Asso Prof of Fatima Mata National College, Kollam and
was awarded doctorate in the topic Theme-Form Synergy in the Poems of Carol Ann Duffy. She has
completed a Minor Research Project on Transculturation in the Poetry of Gwendolyn Brooks and
Benjamin Zephaniah and has also co-ordinated UGC sponsored National Seminars. The three books
co-edited by her include Transculturation in Contemporary British and American Poetry,
Transcending Borders and Cultures: Shifting Paradigms in Cotemporary Poetry, and Global Voices
and Cultures.
